Call me curious. One of my favorite pastimes is chatting with folks, discovering their stories and how to tell them to the world. As the daughter of an English teacher who believed it was important to teach his children how to spell the word “phlegm” (because it exemplified the kookiness and creativity of our spoken vs written word) along with their A.B.C.s, I fell in love early with our language and the power it holds.
After earning my B.A. in English and Journalism from the University of Delaware (fight on, Blue Hens!), completing a concentrated study in Journalism at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and an M.A. in English Literature (for the sheer fun of it) from Georgia State University, I served for over two decades as a magazine editor and writer, working for and launching titles in the fine arts, luxury lifestyle, business and health and medicine.
Today, as an award-winning writer and editor, I collaborate with clients across the globe in a variety of creative pursuits — from magazines, newspapers and online content to corporate communications, books, public relations and marketing — and cover health and medicine for a major university.
